H2Oil H2Oil is a feature-length documentary that follows the trail of the Athabasca River, tracing the lives of people as they seek solutions to the wavering balance between the global demand for oil and the urgent need to protect fresh water resources.

2-5 barrels of fresh water are used to produce one barrel of oil. Tar sands operations are draining the Peace-Athabasca Delta, which is the collector of more than 1/6 of Canada's fresh watersheds.

H2OIL - Official selection of HotDocs 2009

We are pleased to announce that H2Oil has made the official selection of HotDocs 2009.
It will have its world premier in Toronto on Friday, May 8th at the Bloor Cinema in 6:30 pm (506 Bloor Street West) With an additional screening on Sunday, May 10th at 11:30 a.m at the ROM Theatre (Royal Ontario Museum 100 Queen’s Park)

Any chance this will be out in DVD format soon? I’d like to buy a copy if it is reasonably priced.
